Why is the SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway the "Greatest Show On Dirt?"  Here are just a couple reasons:

 

• CHEAP FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT.  2014 marks the 60th anniversary of the SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway and we're lowering ticket prices to celebrate!  Adult General Admission is just $6--Kids 5-15 are $3 or free with a coupon available at participating local merchants.  Or take advantage of our "Arrive At Five" program and get in for just $5 if you arrive no later than 5:30pm!  Our goal is to make racing affordable for everyone!

• LOUSY BLEACHERS--BUT GREAT RACING.  Our bleachers might give you a splinter in the butt.  On the other hand, our racing is so exciting that you might be standing the whole time!

• GREAT RACETRACK FOOD.  "Myra's At The Speedway" has what we think is the best racetrack food in the USA.  In addition to hot dogs, hamburgers, and french fries, you can also enjoy walking tacos, italian sausages, and our nearly world-famous fried pretzels and cheese.

• ACCESS TO OUR PA SYSTEM.  When you were in school, you got in trouble for passing notes.  But pass a note to our announcer and he'll read it over the PA system.  Birthdays and anniversaries.  Shout-outs.  Whatever.

• NATURAL CLAY--NOT DIRT.  The SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway features natural clay--not dirt.  Clay is "sticky" and dirt is, well, "dirty."  That means that if our track prep crew does their job, you won't get dirty when you attend a race at the SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway.

• YOU'RE CLOSE TO THE ACTION.  The SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway features racing in an intimate, close-up setting.  This is a "throw-back" facility reminiscent of 1950s tracks.  Makes sense--since the SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway has been around since 1954!

• LOTS OF PASSING.  We are a quarter-mile "bullring" or "paperclip" style track that features long straightaways (340' down the frontstretch) and tight, high-banked, corners.  This style track was popular in the 1950s and allows for lots of passing.  Newer tracks are often built with sweeping corners that allow the cars to go faster--but don't promote passing.  Laps at high speed aren't fun to watch.  It's like a train--the cars just follow each other around and around.

• LOCAL OWNERSHIP.  Our Track Promoter/Owner, Jeff Andrulonis, is hands-on--talking to both drivers and fans.  He is visible at every event and brings a high level of energy and enthusiam to the facility.

• OUR DRIVERS ARE THE STARS.  At the SpeedBourne Bradford Speedway, we make our drivers the STARS of the show.  They're athletes.  But unlike athletes in other sports, our drivers are also approachable because they live right here in the local area.  Our drivers love to meet race fans!

• AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON?  Chicken Dances along the frontstretch led by our official track mascot...Ronnie The Racing Rooster!!!
